Edgewood Park & Natural Preserve
Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve is a lovely family-friendly local park right next to Interstate 280. There are well-maintained trails through grassy meadows and mountain views.

This park has amenities to appeal to everyone. There are trails here for a leisurely stroll or trails with elevation. Edgewood Park Preserve is home to various wildlife including deer and coyotes. The highest elevation in the park measures in at ~800 feet.

Parking at Edgewood Park
There are multiple parking lots around the park. There are two lots by the Park Entrance near Edgewood Road. This parking lot has the most spaces and will bring you to the visitor’s center. Alternatively, there are parking lots by the Clarkia Trailhead and Edgewood Trailhead by Canada Road.

Activities
Hiking and Running
Hiking and running are popular activities in the park. Most of the trails at Edgewood park are wide and well maintained. If you choose to take a trail to the peak you can get pretty good views of the Peninsula and the mountains surrounding interstate 280. The park does not allow dogs, even when they’re on a leash. This is to protect the fauna and wildlife habitat in the park.

Guided Nature Walks
The park docents lead scheduled nature hikes throughout the park. During these nature walks, the docents will inform you of the park fauna, wildlife, and geology. Nature walks are scheduled on the third Saturday of every month.
